New Highlights in the Hyundai Elantra Sedan in Peru, IL
Although the SEL Suitability package has 17-inch trundles and a 10.3-inch display, the N-Line gives up its manual gearbox alternative.
The Elantra has a body that came out of a top-secret workout facility. It is folded, wrinkled, studded, cut, and shredded. It's a beautiful piece of origami attached to a cabin with muted décor and an odd wall separating the front commuters.
Elantra models deploy a 147-horsepower engine, which sends power to the anterior wheels through a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Great fuel efficiency compensates for the car's power, and a hybrid gearbox replaces the standard drivetrain, improving the Elantra's controlled ride and good steering feel.
Hyundai raises the Scoville figure with the 201 horsepower in the N Line and greatly supersedes the limitations with the amazing Elantra N that eliminates roughly five seconds in the time required to hit the 0-60 mph as it cruises the roads with an independent rear suspension and summer tires.
Performance
Its power is channeled through a CVT that Hyundai has tuned for maximum fuel efficiency. However, in normal driving conditions, the gearbox provides a smooth ride, and the infamous droning noise that CVTs are infamous for is barely audible.
The Elantra is rather average everywhere else. For a tiny car, it handles corners great, performs consistently, and is not readily perturbed by bumps. But if you prefer a sportier ride, you should choose the N Line with a suspension modified for performance.
While it might look the part of a savvy passenger sedan on the outside,
the Hyundai Elantra has quite a bit of power under its hood. The Hyundai
Elantra now comes with a stronger engine than before to provide
additional capability and strength. Most Hyundai models have the same
engine, which is a 2.0L engine with four cylinders. This engine gives
the Hyundai up to 147 horsepower in maximum power, and it comes with an
automatic transmission. You also have the option of getting more fuel
economy with the Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Blue, which is a hybrid version
of the Elantra. This model has a hybrid powertrain that includes
electric motors and a 1.6L engine. Collectively, they provide 139 HP in
power and up to 54 MPG combined. An automatic transmission comes with
this engine, too. The N Line has a stronger engine with a 1.6L
displacement and turbo power.
Design/Interior
Up to five passengers can fit comfortably within the Elantra's roughly mid-sized cabin, although the front row's 6-footers have the most head and leg room. And it comes equipped with cloth upholstery front seats. Also, there is a choice between synthetic leather and real leather upholstery, as well as heated front seats and a power-adjustable driver's seat.
The Elantra's trunk is 14.2 cubic feet, larger than the norm for small cars. With the back seats collapsed, there's enough room for a couple of golf bags in addition to your shopping bags and carry-ons.
Safety Features
The Elantra received an IIHS most excellent safety rating when outfitted with LED headlights. Automatic emergency braking is included on all versions, although the Elantra is not fitted with a surround-view cam system.
Trim Levels
The 2023 Hyundai Elantra has several models and trims to meet your every need. The SE, SEL, N Line, and Limited trim levels are the only ones sold thus far.
The Elantra SE has cloth seats, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a
four-speaker sound system. The sound system is upgraded from the second
trim and up. Additionally, the SEL adds satellite radio and keyless
entry. The N Line has more power, while the Limited adds more luxury
components including leather seats and a larger infotainment display.
The Hybrid Blue excels in fuel economy and comes with heated seats and
heated side mirrors. The Hybrid Limited has ventilated front seats as
well. The N Line has cloth and leather upholstery, along with alloy
wheels and optional performance tires. It also gives you the option of a
manual or an automatic transmission. The N has a sporty steering wheel,
unique exhaust system, and alloy wheels with optional high-performance
tires.
Technology
It's a pleasure to use the twin display on the Elantra, one for entertainment and information and the other for instruments. The entertainment and information screen features simple selections and quick, precise guidance.
Despite only having an 8-inch infotainment screen, the Elantra includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Neither smartphone integration system works with the larger 10.25-inch screen without a cord.
A further plus is the Limited's upgraded voice activation system correctly answers instructions for online searches and locations. With its seamless adaptive cruise control, the array of available modern driving assistances is among the greatest.
