Power and Performance
This model uses an electric motor and a 1.6-liter, turbocharged engine. Net horsepower is 226, so the SUV feels pretty lively. Better yet, all-wheel drive is standard. If you ever have to deal with slippery conditions, you'll be glad to have the extra traction that all-wheel drive provides. Plus, when you're traveling down steep hills, the Downhill Brake Control program can keep you from picking up too much speed. Towing capacity is 2,000 pounds. This gives you some options in terms of hauling cargo with you on your adventures.
Efficiency
It's no surprise that this is an area in which the Tucson Hybrid shines. It can achieve up to 38 miles per gallon in the city and on the highway. If you don't currently have a hybrid and switch to this Hyundai, you'll be pleasantly surprised at how long you can go without stopping at the gas station.
Exterior Features
The Tucson Hybrid looks like a modern vehicle, thanks to an aerodynamic design, LED headlights, and LED daytime running lights. It comes standard with heated side mirrors that have LED turn signals integrated into them. It's available with rain-sensing windshield wipers and a panoramic roof that can make the cabin feel more open and bright. A hands-free liftgate is also available.
The Cabin
This model has a good deal of legroom, so it's one that passengers will be happy to ride in. Its second row seems quite spacious, with 41.3 inches of legroom. Behind the rear seats, there's plenty of space for cargo. The volume of the rear cargo hold is 38.8 cubic feet. By lowering the rear seats down, cargo capacity expands to 74.5 cubic feet.
Besides having a lot of space for passengers, the Tucson Hybrid treats people with nice amenities. It's available with leather seats and comes standard with heated front seats and a power-adjustable driver's seat. The front seats can have ventilation to help combat the heat in the summer. Other available components include a memory function for the driver's seat, heated rear seats, and a power-adjustable front passenger seat.
many high-tech elements can be appreciated by customers. The Tucson Hybrid comes standard with an eight-inch touchscreen, and it can be upgraded with a 10.25-inch touchscreen with built-in navigation. It's great that Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and SiriusXM are all standard. Bluelink technology is standard, too. The Bluelink system allows drivers to use their smartphones to keep track of vehicle diagnostics, and it offers access to emergency assistance if the vehicle is ever involved in a collision.
Safety
Of course, we hope that you never have to request emergency assistance in the first place. Fortunately, Hyundai has given the Tucson Hybrid several mechanisms that can work to keep it out of harm's way. It has a forward collision alert, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking collision alert. In other words, the SUV can sense when it's about to hit another object. If so, it'll prompt the driver to take action. If it seems like it's necessary to do so, the Tucson Hybrid will take corrective measures. This may mean that it hits the brakes or adjusts steering.
